The chapel of Agia Anna

Leaving from the village Foini and taking the street to the south, somewhere at the elevation of the mountainside, is found built the chapel of Agia Anna. The small chapel of Agia Anna was built from the residents of village, with labor and sweat, slowly-slowly.

The small chapel was built very recently, it was completed in 1993. It has a comfortable yard around it, it was built with bricks and painted white externally and internally. You will not see of course the old wooden engraved iconostasis, neither some infrequent old portable icons. They are all new modern type manufactured. It allocates six portable simple icons, and so simple are also the wooden iconostasis and the wooden psalteries. As long as the dedicated icon of Agia Anna is concerned, you will find it also in the line with the other icons on the iconostasis. You will not meet any icon stand holding an icon at the western entrance, and only if you pass into the interior you will meet very little seats. It is small but however it can accept comfortably 50–70 individuals.

It functions two times every year.

On 9 th of December, the capture day of Agia Anna and on 25th of July the Assumption of Agia Anna.
